8 Questions To An Entrepreneur: Robert McEwen.

Questions To An Entrepreneur this week is Robert McEwen Jr.!

Robert McEwen is a licensed barber and the owner and operator of New Vision Barber Shop in Chicago, IL. Robert was born and raised in Chicago. During  high school, he developed a desire to draw and be very creative. It was during this time that he became interested in haircutting and art designs.  After high school, Robert took  jobs  in the commercial industry as a laborer and fork lift driver. After one year,he found himself unemployed and started cutting hair at home for extra income. He built a small clientele. But,  he still needed money and found his way back into the workforce doing "back breaking work to provide a stable lifestyle" for himself. After seeing that that career was going nowhere, in 1994 Robert enrolled in Cain Barber College. He knew then that becoming a barber was the path he wanted to take. Robert worked at Bull Eyes Barber Shop for 6 1/2 years.  In 2001, Robert says "he was blessed to open his own shop."

Here are my 8 Questions to An Entrepreneur: Robert McEwen Jr.

1. Give me the 411 on your company or what you do.
New Vision Barber shop is a cutting edge facility that provides excellent barber/beauty and spa services.  As a licensed professional barber, I specialize in precision haircuts and razor linings. We offer a clean and family friendly atmosphere that has been a pillar in our community for the past 10 years. New Vision Barber Shop has an awesome reputation that it is the place to come and enjoy a day with strong black professionals. Not only is its success responsible to that but also through the help of God who has carried it to the level of success we have today.

2. There are probably a thousand people providing your products and/or services, how do you stand out in a crowd?
We stand out in a crowd because of our professional character and our excellent haircuts and design skills. I believe that our attention to detail and the respect that we show our clients will definitely be recognized.
   3. What is the most exciting thing that has happened to you since you started?
By far the most exciting thing that has happened since I opened is, I had the opportunity  to win a soul to Christ right in my barber chair.
4. What was your lowest point and how did you rise above it?
The lowest point was when I had to let someone go because of their lack of drive to be better and to provide a quality service to the client.
5. Tell me about your best product or service?
Well since I am a barber, it its my haircuts and razor linings but I also do designs and eyebrows.
6. Do you still work a traditional job? If not, will you return? Why or why not?
No, I don't work a traditional job. I opted out for a career. I don't feel I'll ever return to the work force of traditional employment because I feel that this is what God has for me. I never want to punch a clock anymore. I love the fact that I can make my own schedule and not worry about being laid off or anything that will threaten my livelihood.
 7. What are 5 things someone must do to be a successful entrepreneur?
1. Be passionate about what you are pursuing.
2. Research, research, research the field you plan on entering.
3. Surround yourself with positive people that are successful in the field your interested in.
4. Plan to work harder for yourself than you ever worked for someone else.
5. Always look to improve your business no matter how successful it becomes

8. What encouragement would you give to someone wanting to start a business?
It's a HUGH world of opportunity out here and there is plenty of room for you to achieve greatness in business. Just look up and not down.  Keep moving and never stop.  Keep rising and never let falls keep you grounded. I believe you can make it because I did. I believe you are successful because you dare to dream.  This world is full of people just like you who one day woke up and said, "I want to start something that feel in my heart." If you feel it in your heart then it will become a reality. Just work the plan and the plan will work.  Be blessed, see you in Forbes!

Back to School Prayer

Well God, the children are off to school and this is my back to school prayer.

I thank You and praise You and give You the glory and honor for this outlet in which to pray.   Please keep the children from hurt harm and danger. Let them meet and interact with like minded friends that love You and are into doing great things. Let Your light shine through our children, so that someone may find You through them.

My back to school prayer includes the teachers and the staff.

God, thank You for school teachers and the staff at schools all over the world. I pray that they all love their jobs and are eager to teach. That they have patience even when they want to pull their hair out or smack a kid! I pray for increase in pay and benefits for school teachers and staff! Give them back double for the extras that they put into their classrooms that are not covered in the school budgets.
God, will grant my petition for parents in this back to school prayer.
When the teachers are done for the day, and the children come home, prepare us to do our jobs with insuring homework is done. Help us to make sure that our children are ready to do it all the again the next day. Give us patience and build up our knowledge so that we can support our children with their learning. Grant us the financial resources that will provide everything the children need to be well educated. Let our homes be filled with love patience, kindness, Godly correction and healthy relationships between families. So that, our children can reflect those things with their teachers and classmates.
Dear God, let the children be present mentally and physically in their classrooms. Let them retain the instruction they receive from their teachers. So that when it is time to take tests they will pass. Let your peace be within them so there is no anxiety. If they fall short of the mark. Do not allow to them to see themselves as failures. Instead, allow them to see that if they study hard and ask for help they can do anything!
My greatest petitions to you God in this back to school prayer is to PLEASE shield the children against gang violence and bullying and accessive fighting.
Hide them in the safety of your arms. Please build up their esteem, let them feel Your love around, and receive constructive feedback well. Teach them to be obedient and respectful of the people that you have placed in their lives as authority. Show the children lovingkindness and  hide Your Word in their hearts.  So that when the enemy comes to kill steal and destroy, they will be able to resist and flee from him.  Let the forces of evil see heavenly angels encamped around our children and reject the very thought of attack.

Finally, please receive this back to school prayer with a the utmost thank-you.

Thank  for provision, for school clothes, back pack, school fees and all the little surprises that our budgets said we couldn’t afford.  Thank you in advance, for the things left to get! Thank you for the Empower Network and it’s training. It is because of it, millions of people around the world will see this back to school prayer. May they see it and pray along with me.
In Jesus’ name,  Amen!
That’s my back to school prayer. Here’s to a great 2012-13 school year!

Blessings and more blessings to you!

8 Questions to an Entrepreneur : Kris Pinder

Questions to An Entrepreneur  for this week is Kris Pinder.

Kris is the co-owner of Supreme Klean along with his partner Darrell Stokes. Supreme Klean is a licensed and insured carpet cleaning company based in the Chicago, Illinois and it’s surrounding suburbs. The company has been in business for 8 years.  Kris and Darrell have expanded their business to meet the needs beyond cleaning carpet.  I invited Kris to be my entrepreneur this week because he made a powerful declaration to his mother 8 years ago. Kris was working at Home Depot and as an independent contractor with the Kirby Company.  His time at Home Depot ended and he was completely fed up with the rat race!  Kris took his Kirby, stirred up the courage to change his lifestyle and started cleaning carpet.  His mother thought Kris should supplement the income by taking a part-time job. Kris told his mother, “I will NEVER work for anyone else!” Guess what? He meant it! Here’s Kris answering  questions to an entrepreneur.

My Questions to an Entrepreneur : Kris Pinder

1. Give me the 411 on your company or what you do?
Supreme Klean is a licensed and insured carpet cleaning company, also cleaning upholstery, stripping and waxing of vinyl floors, pressure washing, and snow removal, all for commercial and residential.

2. There are probably a thousand people providing your products and/or services, how do you stand out in a crowd?
We stand out by providing personalized customer service, building relationships with the clients, and taking special care of clients’ investments.

3. What is the most exciting thing that has happened to you since you started?
The most exciting thing has been, the ability and experience to share with others who also desire entrepreneurship.

 4. What was your lowest point and how did you rise above it?
The lowest point was when the business encountered declining profits. We rose above it by creating a strategy of marketing  which allowed for increased clientele and profits.

 5. Tell me about your best product or service?
Our best service is carpet and upholstery cleaning!  We believe we have the ability to be“Magicians!”
 6. Do you still work a traditional job? If not, will you return? Why or why not?
No, I do not work a traditional job nor will I return. Due to the freedom of entrepreneurship, there is never an invisible financial roof over my head (meaning there will no longer be someone there making sure I don’t make more money than them).

 7. What are 5 things someone must do to be a successful entrepreneur?
  • Believe God can do it!
  • Block out the “nay” sayers!
  • Be willing to work harder at it than any other job you’ve had.
  • Be willing to chase down business and not wait for it to come to you.
  • Write down your plan. Once you do that, it then exists outside your mind and you can begin to build on something that is tangible!
8.  What encouragement would you give to someone wanting to start a business?
It may not be as hard as you think. The hardest part is making the decision to go into entrepreneurship. The most difficult decisions are the ones where we cannot see the end result, but that is what faith is all about; believing God and believing yourself. The rest will fall into place. I WILL SEE YOU AT THE TOP!

The entrepreneur is one tough cookie! They are risk takers and go-getters. They work hard and sometimes long hours. However, they love what they do and they have a blast doing it. This is an opportunity to read about someone who is following their dreams and to encourage you to do the same!
Today, I've chosen Anais Hayden as the person for 8 Questions to an Entrepreneur! She is a certified pet stylist and owner of Dog Grooming by Anais, in the south Atlanta Georgia area. Anais and her dog Swinger are the envy of all the dogs in the park because he is usually adorned in bright colors and really cool artsy designs.  I think, Anais has taken creative dog grooming to the next level and she's on her way to the TOP!

A lot of dog groomers just give dogs haircuts. I add color and design to their coats.
The dye and nail polish I use is non-toxic and pet friendly. They are both semi-permanent and the colors start to fade away within Weeks Of application. Its not rare but it is not done often.
3. What is the most exciting thing that has happened to you since you started?

 4. What was your lowest point and how did you rise above it?
My lowest point was some of the negative feedback I received from online after I was on the Anderson Copper Show. I later realized that people are going to talk and that I can't please everyone. I love what I do and will not stop because of harsh words and negativity.

My best service I provide is hair coloring and nail art. I add color to dogs, some areas can be ears and tail. Sometimes I turn them into animals such as a Tiger or a Panda.

I have been grooming for 10 years. So at 24 years old, its been the only job I've had. This is more than a full time job.

I Have A Firm Commitment to Empower Network!

Despite the fact that Facebook backhanded Empower Network last Sunday August 2, 2012 and  shut down most my links that looked like, smelled like OR seemed like Empower Network;
 Here’s the deal !!!!
Every company that as EVER existed has had challenges! The great thing about Empower Network is the leaders have a firm commitment to their vision and will fight tooth and nail to see it through. That vision includes me all everyone who is and will be apart of Empower Network.

I must admit, that I was a little upset with Facebook!
They hid my post about my first 100% commission on my timeline! That’s heartbreaking!  After all, that milestone is apart of my life, right?  My expectation was to post whatever I wanted and once the Good Lord called me home, (A LONG, LONG TIME FROM NOW!), my family and friends could memorialize my page and re-read my STUFF! :)  Now that raises the question for me, “Does Facebook have a firm commitment to me?
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again! Right? Right! There are still other ways to get the word out about Empower Network and help change other people’s lives!

The two things YOU MUST DO are, maintain a firm commitment  and BE creative!

After all, isn't this how Mark Zuckerberg and Dave Wood and Dave Sharpe dreamed up Facebook and Empower Network? Isn't this how Facebook became the TOP social media site EVER! Isn't this how Empower Network became the best Viral Blogging Platform that has paid out 11.1 million dollars in commissions since October 31, 2011!! Absolutely!!
Here's the happy medium that Empower Network came up with resolve to the Facebook crisis....Here’s the work around was! The Empowered Blogger APP!
Facebook is all about generating traffic to Facebook. Since our blog posts were taking people outside of Facebook…our links got slammed! With the new Facebook App, we can still post our blogs, still generate traffic to Facebook and still make 100% commissions!! Genius, Genius, Genius!!!
However, I guess Facebook didn't like that idea...no posting blogs through Facebook for  now. Booooo! :) Hey, I'm cool with that!  I always say, honor the rules of the companies in which you decide to join and everyone is happy! Thank God for Creativity!
Yesterday, I listened to an audio CD, Making the Shift - Your First 7 Days: Developing the Entrepreneur Mindset by Darren Hardy.
In his audio Hardy said to commitment to be apart of your business next year!  That means, through the highs the lows, the server crashes to the Facebook slap and whatever hiccups occur, I will be apart of Empower Network next year!
By no means, is this  a one-sided relationship here.

Empower Network has a firm commitment to me.

Empower Network cares about my financial future and how much time I get to spend doing what I love to do.  Since that is true for me, every time someone comes aboard Empower Network with me, they have the same opportunities I do! They proved this ONCE again, by coming up with a work around that soothed the slap from Facebook.

If you are apart of Empower Network, maintain a firm commitment and stay here! If you are not, YOU NEED TO BE! I really believe that the Empowered Bloggers App is the great compromise between Empower Network and Facebook. I hope the two powerhouses can work this out!  I bet this time next year we ALL will look back on this next year and be amazed at how Empower Network continues to rise like a phoenix!

Blessings and More Blessings to You!

P.S. Just so you know, I love Facebook and always will!

The Truth About Reliv!

The truth about Reliv is, I can only tell you my truth.

My son was diagnosed ADHD when he was in the 2nd grade after his teacher suggested that I get him tested.  He is now a man-sized 15 year - old!  Until last summer, he had taken medicine for over 7 years to manage his ADHD. I was introduced to Reliv by neighbor and now my really good friend.  She gives her son Reliv too. You see, she got a request from her son's teacher that she have him tested. The night she got that letter, her son when on an overnight trip with his school. His chaperone gave him Reliv.  The boy’s teachers were at this overnight outing and they kept asking what was wrong with him, because he was being so well behaved. My neighbor has been giving her son Reliv for over two years.

Right after the school year ended, I decided to give my son a break from his meds. I started giving him Reliv Products in August 2011 during a road trip to Indiana from Texas.

Within 2 days I saw results with Reliv. My son reported that it felt like he had taken his meds without feeling like a zombie!!! Ahhh that was music, to my ears!

I was happy with the change in my son’s performance in school with the medicine. But, I really wanted something that wasn’t a controlled substance AND that didn’t seem to alter his warm, bubbly personality.

A few weeks into the 2011-2012 school year, decided to emailed a teacher that taught my son the year before. She reported back that he was doing great, and he seemed more focused and attentive, than the year before!

Since then, I have attended countless Reliv meetings and talked to several people who have shared their truths about Reliv. I have heard great success stories from various people with all kinds of health improvements.

Reliv does not claim to treat or cure any diseases. Yet, my truth and that of many others is, Reliv has help many people take hold to better quality of life!

Who do you know that needs Reliv? At the very least, we all need to take supplements.  In my opinion, Reliv is the best nutritional supplements on the market. It is one of those opportunities that can help with either, health and/or financial challenges. Reliv provides optimal nutrition and an income opportunity as an Independent Distributor with great income potential.

If you need more information about Reliv, email at cherisetheblogger@gmail.com, and I can connect you with someone to give you more information.

Online Review of Empower Network!

When researching information for the Empower Network Review, the two brains behind this company are David Sharpe and David Wood. The Empower Network was launched less than a year ago, October 31, 2011.

It should be noted that within the first 3 days of launching this company, their server crashed because they received affiliate commissions over $250,000 in their member’s bank accounts.

For those who are looking for an affiliate program that provides a high income, the truth exposed about Empower Network is right up their alley. When reading through this Empower Network Review, you will learn to invest only $25 per month to earn $625 for each sale up front, as well as additional money at the end of the deal. Investors can expect to receive funds immediately upon payment, and into their own checking account. This is a great way for people to promote their business through paid advertising, since the profit margins are through the roof.

However, when reading this Empower Network Review, you will find out that this marketing opportunity is not a get rich quick scheme.

If you are looking for an immediate solution that produces quick commissions or you need to make $1,500 tomorrow, then this program is not a good fit for you. The minimal $25 cost gets your foot in the door to start to set up your own search engine optimization (SEO) blog for your business. Business owners do not need to install anything, since the program is web-based. All you need to do is submit your name, picture, and biography, and you are ready to start making money.

You will also find out in this Empower Network Review that there are social media elements that you can use.

Some elements include the RSS feed, and the “share this” feature. All people need to do is to blog everyday, tell everyone they know, and then the money will come.
Before jumping into this too quickly, people should know they need to do a few extra things before they can start collecting commissions. To start collecting commissions, you will have to either tie your bank account with a PayPal Account or apply for a merchant account. The PayPal account is the easier of the two to set up, and you receive funds immediately. Signing up for a merchant account allows you to accept credit cards as a method of payment.

Need help starting your account? The founders created a 10 minute video tutorial to help people learn how to set up their account. It is a step by step process so you can accept credit card payments for any item you want to sell. For example, if you have a rummage sale with an expensive product available. You can accept the major credit card names to make it easier for customers to buy your product.
As a recap, when you want to start making commissions, you have to blog daily, and then tell everyone you know about your business blog.

So, there it is, The truth exposed about Empower Network! Through this Empower Network Review making money does not happen overnight; but with their expert knowledge on how to use search engine optimization keywords, you are on your way to making commissions.
