Making your New Year’s Resolution ?

Whether it is starting a new business, going back to school or loosing the few pounds you put on during the holidays, keeping your resolution  requires work.  It is “easier said than done”. Yet, it is do-able.

Here’s one word that you can put in motion to make your New Year’s Resolution  produce the results you want.

Stickability!

I first read the word in the book Three Feet from Gold by Greg S. Reid and Sharon L. Lechter. I thought, “What a great word! Catchy. Makes you think. Is it made up?”   I checked an online dictionary and there it was:

Here are 3 things you can use do to add stickability to your New Year’s Resolution !

Decide to stick to it:
Your New Year’s Resolution in its simplest form is change.  Change requires an overhaul of thinking and continuous movement until it’s achieved.   Believe that you can do it!  Don’t stop until you see the change.  Should you stop, get back into the fight.

Asses your ability to stick to it:
Resolving to change something is great. Knowing your capacity for changing is wise.  Does your New Year’s Resolution call for a certain skill set that you may not possess? If so, then your ability to change will require back up.  Research what it takes to get the success you want.  Apply what you learn. If  you need expertise that would take  you six years in college to learn. Then find the scholar that has completed the college journey. Either ask them to mentoring you, barter and trade skills, or whip out your credit card and pay.

Get staying power!
Like most, your New year’s resolution  will spark and fizzle out like a defective firecracker if you lack staying power. Some people are laser focused and can make anything work. While others need a little push to keep it going.  Get a buddy that has the same goals planned as you. Partner up and keep each other motivated and accountable.  Start a social media group on Facebook. Create a community of people with the same goals in mind. Give and receive motivation from a group of like minded people like yourself.

There you have it, 3 things you can do to add stickability to your New Year’s Resolution!

I'm Into Something Good: There's Enough For You Too

I’m into something good.... REALLY GOOD!

This Empower Network thing is life changing. I would really love to see everyone take advantage of the opportunity. The harsh reality is everyone won’t. For whatever reason.... maybe they think it’s something fishy going on, they don’t have time, or the compensation plan seems too good to be true.  Frankly for some, Empower Network is not for them.

If you aren’t ready for paid accounts and simple Gmail or Yahoo! account will do just fine.

While we are talking about free. You can also separate your business calls from your personal calls by using services like Google Voice to route calls to your cell or home phone. The beauty of this service is, when some calls your Google Voice number, it appears on your caller id. You can choose to answer or let it go to voicemail and receive an email with a transcribed message.

Following The Crowd Was Not An Option, Until....

Following the crowd was not an option for me!

In my mind, it was always connected to negative things like fighting! Just recently, my daughter and I drove by past a  street with a cul-de-sac that was pretty barren.  She says to me, “This is the street where the kids at my school comes to fight!” The parent in me says, “Don’t you follow the crowd! The innocent on-looker/bystander is usually the one who gets hurt!”  Wise parenting? I think so. Yet, I don’t want her to see all crowds as being tied to negative experiences. One Person Can Make A Difference: See How!

One person can make a difference was not the subject I wanted to blog about today.

 I was blindsided by inspiration and it completely threw a monkey wrench in my plan for today. This morning I watch a really great video that I have been waiting to see, Eric Ice-Gipson’s Empower Network video testimonial!  I’ve been waiting for this one video because Eric is THE ONLY person I have sponsored into Empower Network so far.

A Psychic Told Me I Was A Worrywart!

I didn't pay anything and out of the blue the psychic told me I was a worrywart !

 

Well she didn’t call me a “wart”!  Although, she was the first person to tell me that I was worrier. In the early 1990’s, when Ms. Cleo was popular and there were dozens people making money telling people their futures, my sister Cherie received a flyer for a psychic reading in the downtown Chicago. Since we were downtown, Cherie being the daring/scary sister that she is, had already made up her mind that she was going. She just wanted me to go with her.  We called our family and told them, where we were going, what we were wearing and if we didn’t called them in a couple of hours, to call the police and send them to that address!
 
When we got to the psychic's apartment, we met a regular lady in a regular apartment. No beaded curtains hanging in the entryway, no incense burning and she wasn't wearing a long glittery robe and turban.  Everything was so regular that a fuse even blew when someone turn on the microwave...scared Cherie and me to pieces!

I sat in a chair away from Cherie and her. She talked to Cherie and told her things, that were true at the time and in hindsight, somethings she said turned out like she predicted.  But during her talk with my sister, kept turning to look at me. Then finally, on Cherie’s dime and time, she tells me, “You worry too much!” Stop worrying to much.”

Me a worrywart ?

As it turned out, I was a HUGE worrywart, the medical diagnosis was post-tramatic stress disorder in 2010. Through prayer, counseling, and a dietary supplement my lifestyle has changed. I am doing better and better each day. I’ve come a long way.

I’ve learned that God can use the complexities of being a worrier to put us on a path to better futures.
Worrying signals that there is something that needs attention.  Being a worrywart  is giving license to problems to hang around, to live in chaos, and to condone being stagnate.  It’s unhealthy!

Worrywarts have access to change!

We must be prepared to deal with it head on. We have to get in the trenches and fight, fight FIGHT!!
If you’re like me, you believe all things work out. It’s just that sometimes, you worry about HOW, UNTIL you get there. Or, you are that someone who worries so much that you feel paralyzed and can’t move.  You have a choice. You can either ALWAYS stay stuck in a rut or you can get healthy and get free.

Twin Stuff: Meet the Twins in Empower Network!

Twin stuff is great!

I know because I am a twin!

I wanted to post this blog, to dispel the myth that Cherise Taylor has TWO: Empower Network Blogs, Facebook and two Google + accounts…

One set of accounts belongs to me and the other to my sister Cherie Ward!!!    It is true for us when people say twins think alike. 

Cherie and I thought Empower Network was the best affiliate marketing program on the planet!! So, we both joined.

Twin stuff, like they look alike, and they sound alike, all are true for Cherie and me as well.

 

We do enjoy a lot of the same things. Our families attend the same church. A lot of the same music that is downloaded onto Cherie's  iPod is on mine. We like to shop in the same stores. One of the things, that noticed early on about my twin was that she was fearless and I was fearful. She took risks. I played it safe.  She’d walk up and make conversation with strangers, I held on to my mother’s words even as adult, “You don’t talk to strangers. This one of the reasons why I love Empower Network so much. I AM going to become a top earner with Empower Network! So that means must interact with people all over the world to build my team.
So as I take this journey with Empower Network, this will be another thing where twin stuff will be equal with Cherie and me!  I LOVE IT!

Now, Cherie and I are excited about the Empower Network system for the very same reasons:
-We are building a business while having a life  
-We are becoming financially free to focus our lives around the people and things that are most important to us.  

-We both enjoying meeting new people and helping them change their lives.
